  VISITOR REVIEW

I live about a block and a half away from this place, and have sampled enough dishes to make an educated review.

Based on the theme and appearance, you would expect more traditional `Chi-Chi's` style Mexican, but the Adobe Cafe is anything but. They have some interesting dishes, including duck and tofu options.

The last thing I tried there was my favorite so far. It was the chicken stuffed with spinach and goat's cheese. It was enough for two meals and was full of flavor. My wife tends to get the shish kabobs, which although a bit dry, are chargrilled and also quite tasty. They seem to be excellent at bringing out the natural flavor in the ingredients.

The only complaint I had so far was the mole sauce. Besides that the waitress couldn't pronounce it, it was way too sweet. Mole is supposed to include cocoa, yes, but *unsweetened*. It's the bitterness that combines with various chile peppers and other spices that makes mole so good.

The margaritas are tasty, and their fajitas are as they should be -- noisy and fun. Their homemade salsa is above par, and their sandwiches (try the grilled chicken) was more than enough for lunch.

Highly recommended.
